Up for sale is my beautiful and very rare 1987 Buick Turbo T with 56K Original Miles. G80 posi rear, and rare power astroroof option.
This 1987 Buick Regal is one of 1,547 Turbo-T examples equipped with the WE4 “lightweight” package which includes aluminum wheels and bumper braces, special “T” badging, and the omission of a rear spoiler. The car was sold new at Geneseo Motors, Geneseo IL, and is finished in black over a gray cloth interior. Power is provided by a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential. Features include a tilt steering column, cruise control, air conditioning, power windows and locks, power-assisted front disc brakes, and a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in gray cloth joined by a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a tilt steering column, cruise control, air conditioning, tinted glass, power windows and locks, polished door sills, a remote-operated mirror, and a Delco AM/FM/cassette stereo. The turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 is equipped with a front-mounted intercooler and was factory rated at 245 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque. Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed 200-4R Turbo-Hydramatic automatic transmission and a 3.42:1 ratio limited-slip differential. I did not know this at the time, but only 1,547 WE4s were produced. The only differences between a WE4 and the Grand National were the interior color, aluminum wheels, exterior badges, aluminum bumper supports, and aluminum rear brake drums, as opposed to the Grand National's rear spoiler, cast-iron drums, and steel wheels and bumper supports, making the WE4 basically a lightweight GN.
