1979 Volkswagen Bus, with a 2.0 liter fuel injected motor, ans a 4-speed manual transmission. Factory, working air conditioning! (all the components work, needs recharged). This bus has only 118,000 original miles! This VW Bus runs great, starts right up every time! It's been sitting for a while, so at the least a tune up is recommended. The motor is strong, and the transmission and clutch have no issues at all. The brakes work great, but are a bit touchy, and the front suspension is a bit soft. The interior is in really decent shape, and includes the elusive middle bench seat! That being said, this bus has been mostly sitting for the last 22-years, so itwillneed tires to be road worthy, and all of the rubber fuel lines should be checked to ensure there are no potential leak hazards. The body shows evidence of bondo on the lower edges (see pics). The bus will need some body work, as you can see in the pics. The air conditioning condenser has a line that runs down the passenger side door jamb, but for some reason, many years ago the hose leaked, and subsequently caused some rust damage. As you can see, that section of the bus needs some work. I have many of the body panels that need to be replaced, everything goes with the bus. Basically, this will need a good going through, or even better, start your restoration!
This bus has has only been driven a handful of times over the last 22 years. There are that could use attention, but it's a great bus. The undercarriage is super solid, with only a few bad areas. Check out the pics, you'll see how much potential it has.
Below is a link to a YouTube video of me driving the car yesterday.

If you're looking for a great late-bay bus, this is it! It's the perfect restoration project, or a great driver to enjoy as is. I will be happy to get any additional pictures upon request, as well as answer any questions that you may have.
