Description:

1989 Toyota Supra Turbo 5 Speed

This Supra was my project car, it has been my daily driver for about 13 years. There were many changes and upgrades along the way. The chassis has over 200,000 miles on it, however the JDM engine, which is a 2JZGTE only has about 50,000 miles on it. I was going to swap out all of the parts into a new shell, however I changed my mind and now have a new project. It runs and drives, and is being sold as is.Upgrades include:
  • 2JZGTE engine with about 50k miles on it
  • R154 transmission
  • LSD rear end
  • Turbonetics T66 Ball Bearing T4 Turbo
  • Ported cast iron manifold
  • Tial wastegate (divorced)
  • Full 4" stainless steel exhaust
  • Magnaflow muffler as a resonator
  • Hallman manual boost controller
  • HKS blow off valve
  • 4" intake with K&N filter
  • Greddy intercooler
  • 1JZ flywheel and bell housing
  • Centerforce clutch
  • Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator
  • Fuel Injector Clinic fuel rail
  • Fuel Injector Clinic 600cc injectors
  • Autolite spark plugs gapped to .28"
  • Walbro 255 fuel pump
  • RX7 FD rims
  • Defi Advance BF 60mm Gauges:
  • -Turbo Pressure
  • -Fuel Pressure
  • -Water Temperature
  • -Oil Temperature
  • -Oil Pressure
  • -Exhaust Temperature
  • Defi Racer voltmeter
  • PLX Devices wideband air to fuel ratio meter, only half the screen works
  • Tuned by alphabet soup
  • -Superchips ECU
  • -HKS VPC with B chip (vein pressure converter)
  • -HKS GCC (graphic control computer)
  • -Apexi SAFC2 (super airflow converter)
As shown in the pictures, the chassis is rusty and dented in some parts. Most of the stock gauges don't work, the tachometer does work. No A/C or power steering. It does need a new battery, but will start with a jump. The ignition works with the key, but the starter start button is wired as the horn. There is no horn. It has a cracked windshield, and no stereo. The fuel pump and fan are wired on switches. There is packing and a restrictor in the exhaust, to muffle it, and it can be removed to make the car perform as it should. It could use a larger turbo drain pipe as it pushes some oil out the rear turbo seal under full boost. It could also use a larger fuel line, especially if you wanted to run more boost. It runs well through the first 3 gears on the street, after that you need to watch the exhaust gas temp. It's running 1.3 bar of boost (19psi) on premium gas. Royal Purple 10w30 engine oil. A guess for horse power is about 450 at the wheels (with the packing and restrictors for the exhaust removed). It's a fun sleeper!Check out videos of the engine running at:https://youtu.be/vrs9zGC_-FAhttps://youtu.be/8L7HppkdV9kIf you have any questions please ask. I want you to know exactly what you are buying.
