Description:

1970 Subaru 360

I bought this 1970 Subaru 360 microcar to restore completely. I purchased a parts car as well. I also bought some new reproduction items such as rubber moldings, lenses and boots. Everything I have is included in this sale. I have stripped the parts car except for drivetrain. The remains of the parts car is included in the sale (see photo). The photos of the doors and parts are from the parts car. My wife considers me too ambitious, and I have several other cars to restore, so I have to sell this car. I have a clear Massachusetts title.
The car is quite solid, save some floor pan repair. Ithas some dents and will needbodywork and paint. The original color for all Subaru 360 cars is white. New rubber roof moldings are included to connect the roof panel after bodywork is complete. The rear window is plexiglass and will need to be replaced using the old one as a template. The motorruns and wheels turnfree. It is a manual transmission. The valve on the fuel tank is stuck and will need to be freed up. I have run the motor by delivering fuel directly into the carburetor. The brakes will need to be repaired. The car has no hub caps, and the rear view mirrors will need to be repaired. It is an extremely cute car once restored.
The drivetrain in the parts car is frozen, but can still provide extra parts.
The Subaru 360 was the first model Subaru imported to the United States. This is a no reserve auction.
PLEASE NOTE: I will be travelling until July 5th, so the winning bid vehicle pickup will need to be arranged after that date. Thank You.
