This is a Karmann body coupe body #210878 with the original flat opposed 4 cylinder engine #702871 and 4 speed manual transmission. Recently the engine was completely overhauled the original dual Zenith carburetors were replaced with dual Weber carburetors all the plugs belts etc were replaced and all the original parts were saved (see photo).
This is a very nice Porsche that runs and drives great. The 4 speed shifts effortlessly and the 1600 cc engine rated at 75 horsepower delivers smooth acceleration. Our client the second owner has owned this 356 since 1964 and has driven it sparingly over the years.
We believe the paint to be the original however as you can see from the photos there are areas that are starting to bubble that could be from age the pop out rear windows will require new rubber seals as they are the original and starting to crack the throttle linkage will need to be adjusted and the tires will need to be replaced due to the age.
I have the original owners manual spare tire original parts that were replaced at the time the engine was rebuilt as well as maintence books and a car cover. If the buy it now option is selected I will deliver the car free to any of the lower 48 states.
