They had it for a few weeks and it had a terrible top on it. They told me it needed front wheel bearings and a shifting bearing and that they were putting it inside at night. I picked it up from them and took it to get the top replaced and never took it back. Lutzo is the guy who owns that shop and had looked at the car. The shifting bearing is located at the base of the shifter. I have read all about the belts and the fear that all the boards instill in folks. True, if it breaks you're sunk, and maybe it's true, all I know is I have an 84 944 since 2003 and have never had an issue with belts. In fact, in 30 years of driving, I have not had an issue with a belt in oh..... 28 years. The car is what it is, the engine doesn't tick, transmission is smooth, all the lights work as they should. I don't know about the A/C or cruise control because I don't use them. The top was put on my Lee's Upholstery in Newport News in July 2015 ($1,900) the top has a boot which which is meant to be snapped into place, which is included but the boot is not new. Top is manual. I have had a lot of questions on this so keep asking and I will answer as best I can.
