Description:

1975 Pontiac Trans Am

Here is a 1975 trans am {50.985 mile car}. It looks like your average TA but this one has been built with select components to produce over 400hp with stock factory pontiac parts. You can turn the key and it fires right up like from the factory. The blueprinted 455 high performance engine has 1971 #96 gto heads( 9.0 compression on a 455) stock would be 7.6 compression and a1973 gto turbo 400 transmission with a working downshift switch on gas pedal like the 73-74 super duty. Stock 1975's would have a turbo 350 with kick down cable. The Super Duty engine was rated at 290hp, actual is about 370hp. This engine has over 400hp. SD 1/4 mile stock was 13.5. This car can do a 12 second 1/4 mile. If you know anything about 75 trans am's, the engines were weak(185hp for 400ic to 200hp for 455ci) .This car has 390 gears (256 gears were stock). The engine, transmission, and rear end have been built with high quality parts. The car looks factory stock under the hood with stock intake and quadrajet and out side with rally 2 wheels all round. Everything is there to hook up the AC. The compressor is not shown but it goes with the car. It does have a brand new aluminum radiator, starter, alternator, horns, master cylinder, wind shield washer bottle, new door and window and trunk seals and new brake hose and headers that do not leak (has copper header gaskets) and 2 1/2 flow master exhaust and chrome tips. The balanced and blue printed 455 with turbo 400 has pushed the car to low 8's in the 1/8 mile on street legal rubber through the exhaust (before engine was rebuilt). The engine has less than 20 miles on rebuild. It is not a race car but built to perform like the famed SD 455 trans am. If you would like to hear how it sounds, go to you tube and punch in Pontiac super duty 455 sound then find the post that says {The original SD 455 super duty sound}. Paint is good and body is solid. No bondo queen here. There is a crack in front valance but it was perfect when installed. The interior is mostly original like the door panels and rear seats but it does have a dash cap which matches the interior color perfect. Car is snow white with blue bird and decals (HO 455 on hood scoop). I have had this car since the 80's and i have played with pontiac's for 40 yrs. so my experience is in this car. If you have always wanted a super duty TA but couldn't afford the 80 to 100 grand price tag, you won't go wrong buying this one. Check my feed back. You can bid with confidence.
