Description:

1972 Plymouth Fury

Up for sale is my genuine, documented 1972 Plymouth Fury I Virginia State Police car unit # 72-287. I have a large amount of documentation from the Virginia State Police proving this car's history including receipts, service records and the factory broadcast sheet. I have owned the car since 1999 and have donemuchof the restoration work and now the car just needs some finishing work. It comes with correct, VSP date-coded police equipment including the Beacon Jr rotating light, Motorola radio and GE siren; all have been tested and work but need to be wired to the car.The factory wiring is intact and in good shape.
All of the rust on the car has been repaired and its painted with the correct VSP blue and greypaint codes but there is abubble forming on the lower corner of the drivers door. The front valance wasmangled but it comes with a nicereplacement. The chassis, subframes and floorboards are rust-free as well. The suspension and brakes have been rebuilt. Front tires are new but the rears are pretty old and should be replaced if the car is to be driven.
The engine is the original #s matching 440 and 727 automatic transmission and both have been rebuilt but I would recommend painting and detailing.
The interior is the roughest part of the car and will need the most attention. The seats have some tears and should be recovered. The dashpad is cracked and the drivers door panel will need some work. The headliner has been removed but it comes with a new one from Legendary.
This is a project car and there are several spare parts that come with it.
The car is reliable enough that Icandriveit to local shows butcheck your local laws before driving on public roads. The car for sale locally as well and I reserve the right to end the auction any time. I expect a non-refundable$500 deposit immediately. Its on the buyer to make shippingarrangements.
