1975 Mini Classic Mini

Up for sale is my very special 1975 Vauxhall-powered Mini 1275GT, lso known as "Slggr". For the Mini-guys and gals out there you know what this is. For those who don’t, his is an all British 16 valve engine swap. Like the Honda Vtec, he Vauxhall C20XE is a 2-liter, cylinderDOHC engine from a 1993 Vauxhall Astra F, roduced by GM specifically for the UK market. The C20XE has been the go-to engine for many autocross/autograss and rally enthusiasts for the past 2 decades.
Originally purchased 4 years ago as an uncompleted project, have gone over this entire car myself: disassembled, ody work, aint, ew parts, ustom interior, eassembled with all new stainless hardware and bits fromminimania.com(just call and ask about this car), nd final finish work. As part owner of the Atlanta-based street wear brand, e Are The Processwearetheprocess.com), he crew thought it might be great to work the Mini into the new collection at the time. We decided the Mini would act as a Team Racer, o we themed it, amed it, nd Slggr was born! All decals are 3m vinyl and can be removed is you so choose. Slggr was created out of love. A homage to family race teams of the 70s and 80s. He’s not perfect, ut he wasn’t meant to be. He was meant to scare the shit out of you when you punch the gas, o make everyone who sees him, mile! He was meant for the road, he track, nd everywhere in between.
Now for the details:
Slggr was a totally rust free car. The body was massaged primed and painted with a single stage process using all BASF products. To achieve the satin look, LIMCO dulling agent was used. The top and fenders are high gloss black. The paint looks great, ut is not perfect with a few sags and scratches. The body panels are all straight, he hood however never sat right. The supports are little off, ut the hood looks and works just fine. New hoods are sold through minimania for $350. Rhino lining was tinted and sprayed on the bottom for added protection and sound-deadening.
Keeping with the theme of a WWII Spitfire, he interior has a set of custom bomber seats, nd is completely trimmed out in aluminum and oak paneling. With an aluminum roll cage and racing rear view mirror, he interior really is my favorite part. Rhino lining was tinted and sprayed on the floor pan and trunk for added protection and sound-deadening.
Motor - C20XE w/ F20 gearbox
The motor is mounted to an early ALL SPEED Engineering (http://www.allspeedengineering.com) subframe and totally reworked: headed faced, LL NEW valve seals, iming belt, iming pulls, appets, ngine plugs, eals, ead bolts, lutch and bearing, lumbing, ater pump, tarter, hermostat, oil, park plugs/cables, eaders wrapped, otor mounts and CV joints and boots. For added horsepower, Weber 45s were added pushing the Mini close to 200hp. The webers could use a tuning as the car has been sitting for almost a year.
All electronics are from the amazing folks at SBD Motorsportshttp://www.sbdev.co.uk/. ECU, oil, xternal crank sensor wheel and sensor. New 40 amp alternator recently installed. A new center dash clock (speedo and tach) and fitted. The clocks display temp, PM and mph (a little inaccurately), nd voltage. The gas gauge does not work, ue to the incompatibility of the classic Mini tank float and the modern gauge. No radio.

A Wilwood pedal mounted master cylinder feeds 2 front 4-pot Mini Metro cast calipers, ew pads and rotors. With a proportioning valve adjustments can be made inside the car to adjust the bias ti the real stock cylinders.
