1966 MGB - Car Number 69811
Car has later model 18V MGB engine with original SU carburators. It was running well before there was an issue with thegeneratorandsolenoid. I replaced both but atthe current time has a polarity issue and will not start. Car was serviced by a British car mechanic last September and I was driving it on nice daysuntilit quit charging. I could not figure out the polarity issue and it would not charge. I am sure it is a simple fix for someone who understands automobile electrics.
Off-side wing and bonnet are bent from minor accident years ago. Fully straight replacement wing from another 66 MGB comes with car. Floors have some holes that could be repaired but two replacement floors are also supplied.OEMstraight aluminum bonnet is available separately.
The two black leather with red piping seats and are in excellent condition and sell for $1,900 new.Car also comes with new replacement vinyl hood (frame present but not on car), s well as a new dash roll.
With a weekends work you could be driving it this summer or spend next winter making him wonderful. The reason I am selling this MGB, y first, s I have another MGB and classic American car to work on, ave limited space, nd probably will not get to this one.
This is a very desirable early MGB that needs a little work.
PS: For non-British speaking folks a wing is a fender, bonnet is the hood over the engine, nd the hood is the convertible top.
The car, hile not perfect, s still a solid and desirable early MGB that will raise in value with the work you do to it.
