1964 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 220SEB COUPE WITH RARE 4 SPD MANUAL TRANS

Please note that experience shows us that the photobucket of over 100 large pixel pictures posted here are in most cases best viewed and downloaded using the very latest and most updated version of the 'Firefox' browser as some other browsers and especially older browser versions are not capable of accommodating the size of the download. Over the years our clients have overwhelmingly been appreciative of our many unaltered large pixel photos posted in our ads and our feedback has been that it is very rare that a dealer will post all but the most flattering of professionally finished photographs. We prefer to post the many photos taken of the car, n sometimes unflattering but natural sunlight, n order for our prospective buyers to be able to see true and reliable images of the car advertised and that is the reason for some seemingly duplicated shots. We trust you will agree.
West Coast Classics are proud to present an absolutely exceptional example of this extremely rare and a nicely restored in 2010 on a mostly all original survivor, part from one repaint in its original factory 'Dark Bordeaux Red' (DB code 573G) color paint, f a 1964 W111-021 '220 Series' Mercedes-Benz 220 SE 2.2L (M 127) fuel injection Coupe with it's original engine and spare wheel and its original owner's manuals and with a rare 4 speed manual transmission!
The W111 series was a chassis code given to Mercedes-Benz top of the range vehicles produced from 1959-71. The W111-021 220 SE series coupes were built between 2/1961-10/1965 with the 2,195 ci M127 engine. Inside, he car received a wood veneer option on the dashboard as displayed in this particular example. Apart from one repaint in its original color, t is in mostly completely original condition throughout. The combination of superb performance and elegant styling makes the 220 SE Coupe a very highly collectible and desirable car amongst classic car collectors and this is obviously especially true for Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts.
The original factory 'Dark Bordeaux Red' color repaint is very striking and the 'Cognac' interior is in virtually flawless condition. The wood veneer, auges, knobs and dials are all in a virtual time warp and there are no signs of any damage from the elements. We recently purchased the car with a stated $27K spent on a quality restoration performed as necessary in the year 2010 with the power-train, rakes, ooling and electrical system all overhauled.
Carrying a whopping MSRP of almost $9K over forty years ago, t should come as no surprise that this placed the 220SE Coupe squarely placed in Rolls Royce territory with only those who could afford the very best who were fortunate enough to order one from their local Mercedes Benz dealer, uch was the exclusivity and demand of this amazing motorcar. Generously applied chrome fittings, ombined with the finest natural materials available, provide an unmatched ambiance of luxury and wealth in its lavishly appointed interior, here fine ROSER leather, xquisite burl wood and chrome plated fittings abound, he standard of craftsmanship apparent everywhere on these cars is nothing short of astonishing on these hand-built Mercedes luxury cars.
This car must be seen and driven to be fully appreciated - the engine is extremely strong and responsive with excellent oil pressure and no noticeable oil leaks and which sounds absolutely magnificent. The 4 speed manual transmission shifts smoothly through all the gears and the engine temperature always remains cool. A simply incredible daily driver that gets compliments wherever she goes.
In summary, his is one very fine and mostly all original and unmolested example of the legendary 220 Series Mercedes Benz 220 SE Coupe with no signs of any rust and no accidents; a great car for any Mercedes enthusiast or simply a very fine turn key ready classic European classic car for anyone to enjoy today!
