1970 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 280SL

This 1970 280sl with mostly original paint was purchased by us as an unfinished project.A donor SLK230 was purchased as a drive train donor car.Over a two year period fabrication and installation by a professional shop took place.Over $25,000 was invested into the build,not including the purchase of the donor car.Invoices are available for viewing to interested parties.Custom designed Megasquirt ignition/injection system was installed.Original gauges wereconverted for this application.Supercharged engine, 5 speed transmission and driveshaft were installed and according to previous ownerthe engine was started and ran.Exhaust system is still needed.This is an extremely original car with excellent interior,original body panels and undercarriage with no signsof rust or rust repairs. Bright work,rubber seals and woodwork are in excellent original condition.This 280sl comes with correct complete engine and transmission and can be restored to original configuration ifso desired or finished as a restomod it was invisioned by previous owner.Some of the brightwork and interior items were installed for picture purposes and will need to be permanently installed.Hood will require further bodywork and fitment.
