1972 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 220D

Decided to auction off my 2 owner classic 1972 Mercedes Benz 220D. First owner had car from 1972 til 1995 and second owner had car from 1995 til 2018. He is currently in his 90's. The car runs and drives great, gets 30 mpg! They were non turbo diesels from the factory, so they are not speed demons, but some of the most well built bulletproof cars ever made. Most rusted out pretty badly. This is an excellent driver quality example. Few spots of surface rust, paint chips, touch ups etc, but no rot in trunk floors, fenders or quarters where they normally get bad. The interior is in amazing condition, seats are still super nice and comfortable, no wear. Dash has one small crack. Headliner is good. I have driven the car about 500 miles and it does great, even the ac has been converted to 134a and blows ice cold! The only 2 issues i know of are the odometer currently is inop( has not been inop long), and there is a drip sometimes i think from a line or the fuel filter. Sometimes it doesnt do it and sometimes it does. As far as i know it is the original drivetrain in the car. All of the chrome is very shiny and in good shape, including bumpers. This is a clean southern car(Florida) and a good example to make a daily driver, change to veggie oil, or do a light resto and have a collectible as these cars are coming into their own as far as collectibility.
