Description:

1988 Mazda RX-7 Turbo II

I am selling my beautiful '88 rx7 Turbo II with 26,039 original miles, it is all original, purchased and owned by an elderly gentleman until October '17 and always garage kept. Pictures speak for themselves, the car is clean inside and out, underneath is rust free with factory splash shields in place, under the hood is also pristine with all the factory decals and trim. The condition of this vehicle is remarkable for its age, the 13b rotary engine fires right up and has never been rebuilt or needed anything other than scheduled maintenance. It has only ever been run on 93 octane premixed with Idemitsu synthetic premix and the engine is still in great running condition. The only exception to the total originality of the vehicle is the Racing Beat exhaust system installed shortly after purchase by the original owner, done to help keep the engine temp cooler with lower backpressure. The car has been repainted by the original owner due to the clearcoat failing back in the 90s. There are a couple minor imperfections in the paint but it looks really nice overall and shines bright, the only issue with the paint is on the front right fender where it is beginning to chip a bit just above the pin striping. I chose not to have the fender painted so the next owner can see that no damage has been covered up with new paint. There is also a light scuff on the left rear bumper corner which I tried to photo, it could probably just be buffed out. The brakes were recently serviced with new rotors and pads but they could be bled, in the worst case it may need a replacement master cylinder ($100). The interior is in fantastic condition with all original seats and upholstery looking almost new. Interior lighting and dash lights all work including rear trunk light. This car is equipped with a factory CD player and tape deck combo and the telescoping antenna still pops up when the radio is turned on. The pop up headlights function as they should and all gauges in the dash work. Original aluminum space saving spare is in the trunk still with the original leather tool kit, the factory 17" wheels are wrapped in brand new Yokohama Advan summer tires This car is in incredible condition, and has been well preserved with no rust anywhere, never modified or molested. The vehicle is sold as is, as with any used vehicle there could be some small imperfections I have missed but I make my honest best effort to accurately represent the items I sell. You will not be disappointed when you see this car in person. Getting into this car is like going back in time, the seat's bolsters hold you tight and inside the compact chassis you feel like your wearing the car, the smooth running rotary urges to rev higher all the time.. its a unique experience long gone from mainstream motoring and this one deserves a good home where it will continue to be cared for and preserved, not in a rush to sell. Thanks for looking!
