1956 Lincoln Continental MARK II

1956 LINCOLN CONTINENTAL MKII

STORED SINCE THE LATE 1980'S
CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE
This car was parked due a headlight/switch issue. It went to a repair shop and at that time the owner had some major health problems. Due to this the car wasn't fixed by the shop. It was then driven to a storage lot and there it sat until now. The headlight switch is still hanging there with toggle on the floorboard.
Great car to do a full restoration, candidate for a "barn find" look, resto mod, or anything else you can dream up.
There was a lot of info saved on these cars as they were very low production. Below are some things from the internet and Lincoln enthusiasts sharing info.

PRODUCT ORDER NO 2794
Car was originally sold as an export to Venezuela and intended for Henry Lord Boulton a Venezuelan entrepreneur. However for some unknown reason the car most likely never made it out of the US.

Who is Henry Lord Boulton? The internet says..
Henry Lord Boulton IV is a Venezuelan aviator, entrepreneur, owner, and former owner many businesses such as Casas Boulton, Avensa/Servivensa among others, that has contributed to the Venezuelan economy and growth for more than years. He is married to Ana Maria Abalo Garcia. The Boulton family has been, for the past 400 hundred years, one the most influential and powerful families in Venezuela. There is an article in the NY Times of his passing in 1963.
Original invoice specs 111E4LColor Deep GrayTrim Gray leather seat biscuits, Medium Gray seat bolstersfront bumper w license plate, air conditioning, clear glass (not tinted), HD rear spring (export), HD front spring (export), tire tax, freight.
While the invoice contains many of the usual export specifications it lacked several.
While the invoice shows this car as originally Gray I did not see evidence of a repaint. If you look at the close-ups of the door jams etc you can see no real evidence. The interior appears to be original adding to the question of a repaint. Perhaps this was a nice older restoration but this car has been owned by the same owner since about the early 1980's.
Very SOLID car!I see no evidence of rust underneath the car, in the trunk, around windows, or rear inner quarters. Could there be some started if you stripped it to bare metal?... Maybe... but I see no clear evidence.
