1981 Jeep CJ Renegade

Somewhere between mean trail machine and cool boulevard cruiser lies this 1985 Jeep CJ7 Renegade. With a bold paint package, full hardtop/doors, and overall rugged 4x4 prowess, this icon can truly do everything it was built for. And it does this while fitting in anywhere. The CJ7 is the quintessential Jeep, combining the classic upright grille, topless fun, and a rugged demeanor. This one really showcases that with a glossy and bold red that looks like it's... fresh from a solid investment. In fact, there's only about 6k miles on it since the restoration. The red also makes for a great canvas for the contrasting black on the bumper, fender flares, hood latches, and side mirrors. Plus, the black hardtop with tinted windows fits in nicely with this theme, too. And the custom Renegade lettering on the hood not only coordinates with the black, but also the silver outline sets up the full striping package. And while this all looks great, the lifted stance, upgraded 15-inch ION alloys, and swing-away hatch with full-size spare are always reminders that this CJ is a serious 4x4. The hardtop and full doors mean this one buttons-up nicely, but we all really enjoy it when these Jeeps are open to the world. So it's nice to see the full black package that coordinates so well with the exterior accenting. Nearly everything looks new, including the black vinyl seating. This combines with the liner paint on the floor to deliver a rugged package that's easy to keep clean. But more than just out on the trail, this one is ready for a night on the town, too. Those front bucket seats have terrific bolstering. Plus, there are nice upgrades like the cup holder center console and provisions for an AM/FM Bluetooth stereo. Plus, the upgraded wood-rimmed steering wheel, tall gearstick, and full gauge package w/tach keep you in command at all times. Under the hood is Jeep's hardy 258 cubic-inch inline-six motor. It's a long established powerplant for Jeep that has proven its reliability, and you can instantly see there has been a nice investment in this one. Plenty of added flair, good belts, and a tidy setup make it easy to show off. But what you'll really love are the improvements in quality, including the upgraded air intake, HEI ignition, dual master cylinder, newer water pump, and an aluminum radiator. The motor proves its robustness from the moment it fires up easily, and it feels smooth shifting into four-wheel drive. The four-speed manual transmission is great no matter if you need a low gear for rock crawling or instant performance on the highway. Plus, power steering and power brakes w/discs up front are welcomed in all conditions. This is an icon that's been restored to be both admired and enjoyed. That makes for a total package CJ7 that's up for grabs. Call today!!!
