J20 with 4BT Cummins Turbo Diesel engine on 37

Rare 1977 Jeep J20 pick up truck with factory 3/4 ton 4 WD heavy duty 8 lug axles, a 4BT Cummins Turbo diesel was installed, and a 5 speed NB 4500 dodge transmission with a Billet Aluminum short shift. Truck in on new ( front) and rear are 75% new 37 x 13.5 no dry rod on 20 inch premium rims. There is some surface oxidation in 2 of the rims.The cabin and frame are in excellent condition. The bed has rust thru in the left side of the bed wall. Truck has a converted brake booster designed for this engine with 4 wheel disk brakes. Rear axle was rebuilt recently. power steering works very well, the steering could use some further adjusting. The clutch was replaced 5000 miles. The transmission installed in its present set- up is only for 2 WD. An adapter would need to be installed to make it 4-WD. Gear number 3 has a slight grind when engaging it. If you double clutch it, there is no grind.Truck has a 3 inch intercooler and a holset Turbo. Optima red battery. Brand new wiring harness with new alternator and alternator conversion bracket. New gages, new fuel tank. It has a J3000 front grill.It has a small oil leak that would be fixed by changing the oil pan gasket, as well as one of the valve covers. That is a quick inexpensive repair.The truck has TREMENDOUS POWER and it is very solid, it just needs some tender loving care.This auction has no reserve so highest bidder gets it. We have an extra set of rims and tires in the back in case you prefer less aggressive tire set up.
