Convertible, v-12, very low miles.

1991 Jaguar XJS Classic Collection

1991 XJS 33K Miles All original Auto check says salvage title, but the title I have does not say anything about being banded or salvage, so I am confused. But when I bought it, the previous owner said it was in a garage fire and suffered paint damage and some chrome discoloration. It was repainted, and has a slight melt spot on the right turn signal. This is the story I was given when I purchased it in 2012. It needs a new headliner and tune up. Mice ate the spark plug wires over the winter, but it starts and runs. Engine is clean and it doesn't leak any fluids. It is in good overall shape for its age. Just needs a little TLC that I don't have the time, nor money for right now. Sad to let it go. I did lower the price due to the questions about it being a banded title. Please ask any questions, or for more photos if you like. I do have a cap, rotor and plug wires included, but they are difficult to replace if you do not have the proper tools, so I did not attempt to do it. Thanks
this was contributed today:Hello, I sit on the Advisory Board for NADA, specializing in the XKE & XJS. '91 was the last year before the model was "face-lifted" in its' final run until ending in '96. This model, year, & color combination is VERY desirable, & definitely worth restoring. If mileage is correct, this may be worth considerably more than you are asking? The salvage title on this vehicle was issued on 11/26/01; However, it was later recalled on 5/2/02 due to an error. If you notice, Autocheck reports (2) titles issued on the same day? Correct title via the Minnesota Motor Vehicle Dept (Blooming Prairie, MN), is Title #F1222P001. If you run a CarFax, you'll see the error was already corrected. Autocheck is NOT the most reliable source of information, as your report is clearly misleading. There were only 1,689 of these made in '91. I would really hate to see you sell it for far less than it's worth, simply due to a INACCURATE Autocheck! If I can help in any way, please feel free to contact me
