1967 Jaguar E-Type

1967 JAGUAR E-TYPE XKE SERIES ONE 2+2 COUPE. 4.2 LITERS. AUTOMATIC GEARBOX. CHROME WIRE WHEELS. ORIGINAL COLORS: GOLDEN SAND WITH BEIGE TRIM. CALIFORNIA CAR FROM NEW.Offered for sale here on Ebay from KURT TANNER MOTORCARS is this 1967 Jaguar E-type. It is a full Series One covered headlight triple-carburetor toggle switch car with a full matching numbers drivetrain. This car was recently purchased from it's longtime CA owner where it had been off the road since 1987. It still retains it's pair of CA black license plates which matches it's CA title evidence that it was delivered new here in 1967. It is totally complete and is not missing anything. The engine in the car is very original and complete it appears that it has never been removed and we have not attempted to start it yet. The oil in the oil pan looks very clean and normal for a car of this age. I'm sure the brake and fuel systems will require recommissioning from years of inactivity. The body on the car is very straight is decently solid overall and with good integrity. There is no accident damage noted. The bonnet on the car is in very good condition. Please look at the photos for localized areas of corrosion on the exterior body panels. This is a California car that spent a lot of it's time in the coastal cities of San Diego and Ventura. The body tub is actually very good overall but needs some attention at the bottoms of both doors the LH wheel arch some bubbling in the rocker panels and a few other small areas. The floors on the car are solid and excellent except for an area noted at the very front of the LH foot well (picture) and a very small area at the RH rear spare tire compartment (picture). The rest of the floors appear extremely solid. The interior trim is highly original totally complete and in good overall usable condition. The seat have been re-trimmed in matching vinyl and appear in decent condition. The car would need carpets and a dash top pad and a few other repairs are needed. The original door panels are excellent. The windshield has a crack but the rest of the glass appears original and very good. The chrome work is all there. The car currently wears later style wire wheels. In this escalating Jaguar market this reasonably decent Series One 2+2 boasts all the distinguishable early features of the other models. It must be the most economically-priced most complete Series One car available on the market today. It offers very good value to the keen enthusiast at $26750.
