1973 International Harvester Other1973 International 3/4T 1210 Camper Special. 392 V8 with 4-bbl Holley carb, Torqueflite) auto. trans., .H., /C, .S., .B. Empty weight is approx. 5300 lbs. Has saddle gas tanks (left side not used), railer brakes (on truck but never used by me).Has trailer hitch. Factory shop manuals, wner's manual, ll service receipts dating back to `80s.
I have owned this truck for 12 years (since 2004). The previous owner was a good friend who bought it in 1982. It has been well maintained. It drives well and it is a very heavy duty truck with overload springs and trailer brakes (previous owner sometimes pulled a car-hauling trailer). It has always served me well and reliably, aving once hauled over 2 tons of broken concrete without any noticeable settling (thanks to the heavy springs). It is a real truck! To the best of my knowledge, t has always lived in Santa Barbara, A. The longest I have driven it was a 500 mile round trip to San Diego area 3 years ago. It performed well with no trouble at all. I use it very little these days which is my reason for selling it.
Mechanics are good (oil pressure good, uns cool, rakes well, teers well). Cosmetics are fair, s shown. Minor ding in right rear quarter as shown. Right end of front bumper slightly bent. One rear hubcap missing. Seat reupholstered and very comfortable. Seat belts. Basically, t is a very functional, eliable truck with a lot of service life left. Minor cosmetic issues which don't affect functioning.
ISSUES:-As with many Internationals of this vintage, his one has some rust issues which I have tried to show. The worst is on the right and left door jambs although it does not affect the functioning of the doors. Also hole under right of windshield which I have taped over.
-Missing one rear hubcap.
-Left saddle tank inoperable at this time. Running off the right tank was all I needed for my use.
-.Not sure if the A/C is working as I have not used it lately.
