Description:

1972 GMC Jimmy K5

I am reluctantly selling my project of 3 years and due tofinancesI am unable to finish it. I would like to see it go to a good home. I have spent the last 3 years restoring this truck from the frame up. I am not a professional however the work done was supervised by or performed by a professional paint and body specialist. The truck is painted in several color coasts and clears coasts. The bright blue is actually 1996 dodge viper blue. I have purchased every patch panel and piece of sheet metal except a tail gate that LMC Truck makes and sells. The tail gate was in incredible condition when I bought the truck. The truck hasabsolutelyzero rust and zero bondo filler in it.It has a small block 400 Turbo 350 Transmission with a stage 2 shift kit205 transfer case with 456 gears and open diffs. The tires are 34x12.5x16's on Mickey Thompson rims. The tires are only 3 years old and have virtually 90% tread or more on them. The bed floors are lined in a rhino lining like material. The seatupholsteryis brand new covers and seat pedastal mounts... The truck is virtually finished and only needs a few things to be a show truck. This Jimmy was re assembled using grade 8 bolts as often as possible and in the most important areas for strength and safety. It needs a few small pieces of trim installed that I am including in the sale.I have been unable to locate parking lamp buckets for GMC (differ from Chevy) and the outer grill trim pieces that frame out the front of the fenders. The truck needs a top. The hard top it had was too far destroyed to save and salvage. I planned on using a company called SOFTTOPPER.COM and buy a soft top for it which would be moreversatileand fun. The truck is an AC truck and has all new ducting and under dash equipment but does need a new compressor and heater core. The gauges are not all hooked up in the truck yet. The speedometer is working. All of the lights work including signals and brake lights. Lastly the truck needs a stereo which wont be expensive or hard to install. I just hadn't gotten around to it yet.The vehicle is not perfect and while the paint and body are in virtually show condition there are a few very minor blemishes in the paint. The rear wheel wells have been custom cut and formed to allow for larger tires and look more natural than stock. The glass is perfect with no chips. The miles are approximate because the odometer was not installed at the time I bought it and the motor I put in the truck came out of a 70's model pickup. The miles I say it has on the engine (approx 30000) arewhat was on the truck the engine when pulled. The Jimmy has unknown amount of miles on the vehicle. The Jimmy has been restored to in many ways better than new.It has LED tail lights installed and clear euro lenses on the sides with colored bulbs. The front headlights were replaced with Halogens for better visibility. The battery is less than 6 months old. Thecarburetor is new and is a Holley 650 I believe. The dash had been previously modified to accept a modern style stereo. I decided not to restore it to original and planned on putting in a modern stereo which may still happen prior to sale. The Jimmy has new seat belts all the way around newupholsterycovers on the seats and newchrome steel door panels and window hardware. The door glass was custom cut and fit and the windshield is brand new and flawless. All the weather stripping and seals on the truck are new including the differentials and transfer case. The truck has a Skyjacker 4 inch lift kit which is called the 'soft ride' kit. It is all springs and no blocks. The truck also has all new polyurethane bushings all the way around. All the dash components are new including the chrome steel glove box door and the cardboard glove box insert and bulb. The AC/Heater controls are brand new as well as the ignition switch and cigarette lighter. All the fluids in the truck are changed and new.The Jimmy has a proffesional appraisal completed and is valued in its current condition at $30000.I am not the original owner and bought this truck from a friend who was not the original owner.I reserve the right to sell the truck locally before the auction ends.Email me if you have any questions at dougharrington1978@gmail.comI'll add more pictures ASAPPlease note this vehicle is sold "as is" and no warranty is implied or expressed. This vehicle is a used vehicle sold through a private seller. I am not a dealer. Thanks for viewing my add.
