Description:

1987 Ford Crown Victoria Country Squire

I am selling my 1987 Ford "Country Squire" (like a Crown Vic) Fire Chief's Wagon. I purchased this vehicle in 2017 directly from the Bloomfield, CT Fire Department at auction. The car has been well maintained all its 66,254-mile life, including during my ownership. I purchased it to use during the summer months to respond to fire calls as a chaplain but in 2018 I was transferred and can no longer use the vehicle for its intended purpose.

This vehicle runs and drives great like a Crown Vic should! It is often my daily during the summer when I want some fun. The car is fully functional. All emergency equipment works including siren and lights and spots. (Emergency Equipment will be disconnected per ebay rules) The two emergency radios do not come with the car, but the siren, lights, recharging flashlight and switch box do. Heavy duty package (like a tow-package without installing a hitch) ordered when purchased by Fire Dept.

All the windows including-tail gate widow work, with two new motors. Windshield has a very small, old chip. All gauges, lights, heater, car radio, cruse control work. The air conditioner was converted to the new stuff and has been recharged and blows cold. The transmission has been serviced, new cap, plugs and rotor. Wig/wag grill lights and red grills added and fully functional.

The car looks great, but it is not perfect in any way. This was a fire chief's car and has signs of wear in the paint, with scuffs, dings, some spidering on hood and some fading. The car shows very well in a parade, but I purposely did not repaint it as the history is important to me. When installing the vinyl graphics and pin striping, I had the front doors and tailgate repainted because the original graphics did not come off easily. The upholstery including the headliner and the seats are in very nice shape. There is one spot on the driver's seat where there is a rip in the vinyl. It does come with an extra, correct-color replacement seat cover I was just never motivated to install it. Carpets look good with little wear. Rear cargo area carpet is OK, not great see picture. There is only one floor mat, driver's side, and it is worn. The car still has 2 "3rd row" hide away seats by the tail gate. Most likely never used. When they are up, they face each other. Very cool.Chaplain's front license plate does not come with the vehicle, but parade flags do. The car is solid. Has dual exhaust and mufflers in good shape. No Catalytic Converters, "test pipes" in their place. Tires have plenty of tread left. The rear drivers side fender has a small dent above the word Coordinator and a scratch below. See photo.

Not sure what else to say. If you are serious and want to face-time a walk around the car, be glad to do it. Better yet, come and look. Please ask questions and I will do my best to answer. Remember, it's a 32-year-old piece of fire apparatus not a museum piece. That being said, it is very cool. I would have no issue driving this car hundreds of miles with no worries, I have.
