1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Cobra Jet

The 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is one of the baddest-looking street machines of all times. Of course, it's only better when it has been given a Cobra Jet V8 and plenty of upgrades to highlight its new dark side. The 1969 Mustang is often the sought-after design. It carries much of the original icon's appearance, but many features are elongated to give it a more muscular presence on the streets. This one defiantly goes for the meaner end of... the pony car crowd with a House of Colors shade of Brandywine paint that just seems to get deeper and darker the more you stare at it. Speaking of darker, this one really does have a dark side full of performance thanks to the deep chin spoiler, big hood scoop, Mach 1 blacked-out hood, rear window slats, and rear spoiler. The aggressive attitude continues on the hood pins, correct Mach 1 stripe package, and the iconic Mag wheels with Mustang center caps. They're all part of an attitude that hints at the power lurking underneath. We'll get more into the power in a moment, but for now, take a moment to appreciate a total package that is equal parts shine and intimidation â€" exactly what you want a good classic muscle machine to be. The Mach 1 was the most expensive Mustang model aside from the Shelby line, so Ford made sure that buyers got their money's worth in the interior. It starts with the comfortable high back bucket seats and the center console in between them. You'll notice that this one has the right period-correct pieces like the wood paneling on the doors and Rim-Blow deluxe steering wheel. While this one has a deep and dark atmosphere to get you in the muscle car mood, it also makes the white-faced auxiliary gauges easy to spot. When you pop the hood, get ready for one of your favorite presentations ever. The smooth red walls of the engine bay funnel your attention to a clean and mean big block V8. This was added later in life, but it is believed to be a correct 1969 428 cubic-inch V8. It looks terrific with the Cobra valve coves and bold shaker on top of the blue air grabber. Plus, you can tell there was a nice investment in performance with Holley four-barrel carburetor, Edelbrock Performer aluminum intake, MSD ignition, and long tube headers that feed a growling dual exhaust. Out on the road, this wild pony feels confident thanks to newer connecting rods, struts, shocks, and calipers on the front disc brakes. Add in a three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, BF Goodrich T/As, and this is a great all-around driver. There's a lot of WOW factor in this big block Mustang Mach 1. So if you're ready for a slick-looking pony with a ton of gallop, call today!
