Description:

1966 Ford Mustang

Original, Numbers matching, 1966 Mustang C-code, 3 speed. Garaged its whole life. Bought from original owner. I pulled from his garage in Milford, NE.He told me he had it repainted 20 years ago, along with a motor rebuild. Said it didn't really need it, just decided to freshen everything up. Put on 200 miles a year since, mainly doing parades. During that repaint, added GT options to attempt a clone. He also opted for the 4 barrel carb. Original Motor, Original Tranny. Since I've owned the car, I've rebuilt the carb, redone and bled all brakes, plugs wires cap and rotor, radiator flush, changed oil and filter, fuel filters, new starter, battery and cables. On the interior - Pulled, cleaned, masked and repainted glove box and gauge cluster. Polished up the chrome. Pulled door panels and replaced window track clips, oiled everything. I put on a brand new white vinyl convertible top. Not the cheap kind.Quality top. Goes up and down great. Motor is strong. Rebuilt shifter. Many other things I'm forgetting I'm sure.

I'm trying to be as honest as I can about the car. I'm a body and paint professional. All in all, the car was painted pretty good back then Clear coat still shines like it was just sprayed. There is a small scratch in right rear tail lamp extension/quarter. If I were to keep it, I would get an alignment. When all bushings andsuspension was gone through, I don't think they aligned it. Not bad, its just something I would do. Motor runs great, starts every time. If I were to keep it, I'd pull the valve covers and check out the valves. They seem a tad noisy to me. 20 year old rebuild, they may not have used hardened valves. Over all, the car is seriously awesome. It gets attention everywhere, every time. A lot of fun.
