1964 Ford Falcon Sprint

VIN: 4H13F155894

260 V8 engine runs excellent. Starts hot, or cold every time.

4 Speed trans shifts well.

4 wheel drum breaks operate fine.

Alignment is good. Some minor play in the steering linkage.

Factory rear operates fine, and is quiet.

Paint is fair. Some defects. The right rear quarter panel was replaced at some point by a previous owner. It was not installed 100% perfect, and is noticeable at the seams. The rear "Sprint" valance has a dent in it. A spare valance in similar condition is included in the sale. Please view the pictures.

The frame rails, and floors are all original, and in very nice shape. The area below the battery box was corroded/rusted, and repaired using fiberglass by a previous owner. It looks ok, but could look better. The undersides of the fenders look good, and they appear to be orginal, and rust free.

The interior is presentable, but not perfect. The deluxe windshield trim has started to pit, and should be rechromed to be perfect. The dashpad recently cracked. The tach, horn, and radio do not work. The heater controls are intermittent. All lights work. The gas gauge, speedometer, and coolant temp gauges all work. The red "gen" light flickers. The car was converted to an alternator, and charges fine.

The engine is a 260, and was rebuilt at some point by a previous owner. It does not leak, or burn any oil or coolant. It has an edelbrock intake, and a holley 4 barrel carb. Stock exhaust manifolds with free flowing mufflers, and the stock "Sprint" chrome valve covers. The car sounds like it has a mild cam. It runs great.

Overall, this is a nice cruiser. It is very reliable. I would drive this car anywhere. I purchased the car 5 years ago in Georgia. I've replaced the bumpers, and performed preventative maintenance on the car. It draws a lot of attention everywhere I take it. The car is over 50 years old, and is far from perfect, but is very presentable. Please inspect the car, and ask many questions before bidding!

I have extra parts that come with the car including: 4 Sprint wire hubcaps, used heater box, 4 new OEM shocks, black windlace, and a few other miscellaneous parts. These parts are included in the cost of the car.

From a Ford Advertisement:The Falcons received a facelift in 1964. The "new" Falcons reflected the Total Performance image with their new styling. A more aggressive pony car style was used on the 64 Falcon models. The Futura series was continued in 1964 and represented the top trim level for Falcons. Futura upgrades include a chrome horn ring; rear arm rests with ash trays; a set of horns; special hubcaps; Futura emblems inside and out; chrome side window treatments; stainless front and rear window trim; anodized aluminum exterior trim pieces; and unique chevrons at the rear quarter panels. The Sprint models included basic Futura trim pieces and a special chrome engine package, unique wood-like steering wheel, tachometer, and unique Sprint badges and emblems. Sprints could be had with bucket seats and a console in the front, or bench seats all around.
