1954 Ford Ranch Wagon

This is a unique opportunity to purchase a rare classic car. The owner of these vehicles is reducing the size of his collection for the purpose of estate planning. Please view the other auctions for several classic cars. This 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon with matching Ford Ranger pop up camper has recently been restored to be used as a driver. The wagon camper combination is very rare. The Ranger camper was the first pop up camper. Between 1954 and 1956, production totaled just 200 Rangers. There are less than a dozen known to be in existence.

Ford Ranch Wagon: The body of the wagon was stripped to bare metal. Minor rust was found in the rocker panels and below the rear tail gate; any rust was cut out and replaced with metal. The exterior of the car is paintedturquoisegreen and india ivory white. The body is straight, as is the chrome and stainless steel. The interior of the wagon is new, period appropriate reproduction material. The cargo are is stunning finished in cherry wood. The headliner, tires and vintage Heat / AC are also new. The 350 small block motor is paired with a 4 speed automatic transmission. The wagon runs, drives and stops very well.

Ford Ranger Camper: The fiberglass body was in very good condition when the restoration was started. The body was refinished in matching ____green and _____white. All of the mechanical components of the camper are in good operational condition. All of the steel cables for the operation of the pop up mechanism was replaced. The hand crank operated smoothly in both directions. The wood components of the camper were also found in good condition and have been refinished. The camper comes with the original screen / curtain that surrounds the unit. A new screen / curtain is currently being made for the camper and is included with the camper. The interior camper lights and potable water supply work properly.

This wagon and camper have been restored with the intention of it being a drivers. They were not intended to be concours quality restorations. The wagon and camper are not perfect, but they are in very good condition. I would give it a 8.5/10. There is a stone chip in the windshield, and one of the factory Ford hubs caps on the trailer is missing.
