1955 Ford Thunderbird . 3-Speed/Overdrive. BEAUTIFUL! See VIDEO.

1955 Ford Thunderbird Listed on behalf of Monte Shelton Motors Located in PORTLAND, OREGON. This Thunderbird, VIN # P5FH163768, was produced on March 1, 1955 at the Ford Dearborn factory. Painted in Thunderbird Blue (really a Turquoise color), it was optioned with the 292 c.i. V8 engine mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive (unlike most produced with the Fordomatic.) It was also optioned with a 4-way power seat and power windows, Ford AM radio, heater/defroster, tachometer and clock, plus both soft top and matching blue hardtop. While the early history of the car is unknown, it was acquired some years ago by a noted Thunderbird collector in the Northwest who set out on a full, show quality restoration. The rust-free body was removed from the frame and fully repainted. The chassis was painted and detailed, all chrome was re-plated and the interior was replaced in correct Turquoise and white patterned vinyl. New radial tires were fitted to the chrome wire wheels. It is a beautiful and very correct appearing Bird. Please see photos, which were just taken for this listing. The V8 engine was also rebuilt and has seen limited use since completion. It runs smoothly with no smoke or other issues. The dual exhaust was replaced and correctly routed through the rear bumper. Please see video of engine running. I have personally driven this car and it runs and operates without fault. Rated at 193 HP, it really moves! It shifts well, has plenty of power and the brakes are good. Power windows and seat operate as they should. The only option not working is the clock. It recently had a new white vinyl top installed. If you are looking for a beautifully restored 3-speed overdrive first-year Thunderbird for show or go, this is a good one. A reserve has been placed on this car in keeping with its quality. Please bid accordingly. WE WILL HAPPILY SELL TO BIDDERS WORLDWIDE. Thanks for looking and GOOD LUCK! If the video link below is inactive, please go to: https://youtu.be/UmiXLXmuZ4s
