1977 Dodge Other Pickups yes

I'm offering for sale my 1977 Dodge D200 ¾ ton pickup w/ 318 2bbl, 727 automatic trans, PS, PB, AC(leaks off freon). Truck does run good and just Feb. 6thpassedCalif. Emissions test on the Dyno machine. Smog certificate is good for 90 days from issue date. Right now registration is paid up to end of March 2018 and due for re-registration. Tires have about 10,000 miles on them from Big O tires purchased 3 years ago last Dec.

I am the owner on the Calif. Title. My dad bought it brand new in 1977. I have the original owners manual and some paperwork from the day.

Photos show two tool boxes(bed and side), dent on left rear ¼ panel and bumper shows a slight twist from a bumper jack. Has a 2" receiver for towing.

Leaf springs- When we first got the truck we mounted a camper shell which was heavy so we had extra leaves installed but later change the camper out for a shell with carpeting for about 30 years. Photos show a very proper bed. Paint does have few nicks and scuffs from 40 years use.

I'm interested in a much newer truck now. This is a California truck bought in the central valley and has resided here all this time. No rust out. All glass is good.

Faults: other than being 40+ years old it leaks oil- ps, eng, trans. I just top it up. Transmission has one time overheated pulling an old car over the mountains and as such been affected. I still drive it around town w/o difficulty. I have gone on a 300 mile round trip to Los Angeles from Bakersfield w/o problems twice now but I don't like to.

This truck like all Chrysler has exhibited the no spark at start up issue. I used to carry spare parts like control module, ballast, etc. and wires. Never knew when it would happen so be notified of that issue. It's running fine now with the factory ign, system so as to pass smog. It does run good. My final work around for the spark thing was to install a point distributor (drops right in with no wiring cuts). 148000 miles maybe 248000 miles I don't quite remember.

It always starts but each day I have to pump the throttle to start- most times .I'm required to keep the same carburetor to pass smog as quoted by the smog people.

Wheels- Original rims are 16.5" with hubcaps and I have these but I'm currently using 16" Chevy rims with beauty rings.

A perfect candidate for someone wanting an older vehicle that already runs/works good and could use fresh parts put in as called for.

If you're from back east you can arrange with Uship and I'll make myself available to help. Truck is stock or standard height- they'll want to know that. The wooden rack can be removed in about 20-30 minutes if it interferes with the shipper. It's worked great for my needs carrying ladders, pvc pipe, long things.

My truck has paid for itself multiple times for my dad and me.

I hope it's a treasure for the next owner.
