1938 Dodge Other Pickups

For auction today I have a 1938 Dodge truck Hot Rod project.Please read everything before you bid because there are payment and pick up conditions and requirements that must be met.The truck currently has a Dodge 360 CID motor in it.The motor has approximately 20,000 miles on it before it was put in this truck.The motor runs strong and is in very good condition.There is an Edelbrock manifold and carburetor on the motor now.Because the truck has been sitting for about 2 years (health and other reasons have prevented continued work on the truck).The carburetor has become a bit gummed up.This is easily fixed with a basic carb rebuild.Prior to sitting, the motor ran very strong and we often ran this truck down the street to keep it in good working order.We do turn the motor over often to be sure everything stays lubed.The radiator is a custom 4 core radiator with transmission cooler tank on the bottom.The fuel tank is a custom built Aluminum tank that holds approximately 20 gallons. (We have never actually filled the tank completely so we can only approximate how much it holds).The tank is located under the bed area behind the rear end.This will help provide that little extra weight in the rear for better traction and front to rear balance.
This truck has power steering, and power brakes.Rack and pinion steering.Front disc brakes, rear drum brakes.These all work very well.The tilt steering column is from Flaming River.The instrument cluster in the dash is from Classic Instruments.Documentation for the steering column and instrument cluster is included with the truck.
Front suspension is an independent suspension by Fat Man Fabrications.The rear end is from a 1977 Plymouth.The front half of the frame has been boxed.We do not have a bed for this truck so you are free to design your own or possibly find a good bed that you can put on it.

The boxes you see in the pictures contain many of the parts needed to finish the truck.These include cover plates for wiper motor access.Dash logos, inside door and window handles.Windshield frame and mounting hinges. (Windshield glass too but this will need to be replaced because it is the original untampered glass).This even has the windshield crank handle and mechanism that does in fact work.There is lots more that is included.

This truck is for local pickup only.I will not deliver it.You the buyer are responsible for picking this truck up or making arrangements to have the truck picked up and delivered to you.All costs associated with the pick up and or deliver of the truck to you the buyer are the sole responsibility of you the buyer.Loading of the truck onto your trailer will be your responsibility so bring enough help with you to accomplish this task.I will not load it and I do not have any means to tie it down so do bring your own.
