1966 Chevrolet Other Pickups

1966 Chevy C10 LWB, 50 Chevy engine w/ aluminum high intake manifold and Edelbrock 4bbl carburetor. This is a great restore project w/ a few updates before it's a daily driver.
I had it at my mechanic's shop to get the soup to nuts list on Good/Bad to make it a solid truck.
Good:1) Clean title2) Straight Frame - surface rust at most on the frame3) Very little rust - The body is mostly rust free, ne spot in front of driver door (very common). Areas around door are free of rust, ab roof is free of rust, ed of truck is rust free.4) Few dents there are a couple dents that could be easily bent back and look great. 5) 350 chevy engine, delbrock carburetor, anual transmission6) New gas tank - not installed but will go with truck7) all original parts for the cab including bench seat
Needed Fixes:1) Timing Chain Kit - the engine will run but timing chain slips so it won't stay running. Mechanic states that with a timing kit the engine will "purr like a kitten." Big upgrade with the aluminum intake manifold and edelbrock carb.2) Power Steering - there is a slip in the pump and will need replaced3) Wiring - original wiring there just not all connected (suggest new kit new wiring kit)4) Passenger rear axle needs new bearings - rolls but you can hear grinding. All other axles roll smooth
Suggested Updates:1) New Wiring Kit - currently wired for the engine but will need lights, ab etc. installed. Original wiring is there but also original 13 cisrcuit fuse box.2) New Electronic distributor - currently points, ut if you are updating timing you can easily update to new distributor, best time to do it", ays my mechanic3) Water pump - another item that falls under the "since you are taking it off for the timing chain, ight as well upgrade!" Not sure anything is wrong w/ current one, ut new is probably better5) Brakes work but could use new shoes!6) New Front window - Has a crack but does not impair vision.7) New window seals / weather stripping8) Axle Carrier Bearing
This really is a good truck. Most of the items on the list above are very inexpensive and if you are a mechanic or "You-Tube" mechanic this could be a great truck. I spent $300 to have my mechanic go bumper to bumper on this truck and give me the repair report. I've been able to watch everything on the list and see that other than time, hey are not hard nor expensive fixes (if you do them yourself)!
The great thing about an older truck, t's all mechanical. You don't have to worry about the mother board or computer chip!
Asking $3500 OBO. However, will be working on the list as time permits but, hat means the price will go up!
