Up for sale we have a 1955 Chevy 3100 1 Series Pick Up. Chevy changed the body style and this is one of the last first series. This is a great work of art with many upgrades. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, nterior, nd heartbeat of the Chevy, ut first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, perated, nd own our entire inventory, o consignments, nd only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, hat's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us for more information, ictures, r any questions call our office at (865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start with the exterior of the 3100. The body was set off the frame. What metal work was needed was done and they added wheel tub sin the bed to hold the larger rear tires. After hours of blocking the cab was fitted with its doors and fenders to ensure good fit. Everything is covered in the Burnt Orange Poly. After the paint the glass was installed with all new seals and new weather stripping was also added. New bumpers and a new chrome grill really pop against the slick paint. On the bed they added a BowTie tail gate and LED tail lights. Inside of the bed it's done in Oak with Stainless Strips and a pop up fuel door. A custom pan was built to go between the tailgate and the rear bumper. BowTies were also cut into the running board to exit the exhaust. The final touch is the set of Colorado Custom Wheels with 18x8 up front and a set of 18x15 out back with Mickey Thompsons.
Next, e will take a look on the inside of the Pick Up. The inside lacks no touch of quality and provides a killer complement to the exterior scheme. It's all wrapped in Ferrari Leather Cream and Saddle. The bucket seats are memory foam that are Power and Heated. The seats are covered with the Cream leather and Saddle inserts. The door panels are done the same way to match. The custom console is also covered in leather with the Ac Controls and Mount for the TCI shifter. When you look at the dash you'll see it's covered in the Cream Leather with LED gauges and tilt Chrome Column that has the Colorado Custom Wheel. The windows were upgraded to power and it has the vintage radio and Race Quip Seat Belts.
Finally, e will take a look at the heartbeat of the Chevy. Under the hood it has a 548 Aluminum Head Big Block with a 671 Polished Blower with Twin Quick Flow Carbs. The engine is dressed for any occasion with Aluminum Valve Covers and Breather that are polished as well as the Pulleys. It's set up with the serpentine belt system that drive the Polished Alternator and AC as well as the Power Steering. The trans is from TCI and is a 4L80E that has a TCI converter. Out back is a Fab 9" Rear End with 4 Link and QA1 Coil overs. Up front it has a fat man front end with tubular control arms and coil overs as well. The Steering is a Rack Pinion Unit that's Power. The sound comes from the Custom Big Tube Headers and 5" Exhaust with Electric Cut Outs. The 4 Wheel disc brakes are by Wil Wood that are drilled and slotted. Also, his truck has a fuel cell that's mounted between the frame rails with a pop up door in the bed. The battery is mounted under the cab. When you look at the frame you'll see the rear was boxed and moved in for the larger tires. The front was boxed to hold the high HP Big block and the fat man front end. The floors are all painted black for a clean look.
This truck is a head turner that runs just as good as it looks. If we can help you in any way with questions or a specific picture, ou can call our office at (865)988-8088. Or feel free to call Daniel at (423) 807 0600, evvin at (865) 256 2366, r you can e-mail us at smokymountaintraders@yahoo.com.
