Up for bid is an authentic 1952 Chevrolet 2-ton flatbed former U.S. Air Force aircraft maintenance truck with it's own 26 foot tandem axle 14,000 lb. GVW custom transport trailer. The truck and trailer are an inseparable package deal.
ABOUT THE TRUCK: Very solid, reliable and smooth running original 235 cu. in. engine, 4 speed manual transmission, and new brake system. Original Air Force blue paint with an aged natural antique patina. Very straight body and original solid floorboards with no rust problems. Original and high quality work Restoring the interior cab. Professionally reupholstered interior coil spring bench seat, OEM spec factory floor mat, door panels, and headliner are all new and restored to original factory specifications. Diamond plate steel 14-foot-long flatbed. The vehicle has several original emblems, insignia, and data plate info that confirm it was used for this purpose.
ABOUT THE TRANSPORT TRAILER:A commercially manufactured custom tandem flatbed transport trailer designed and built to easily load and haul this 1952 Chevrolet 2-ton truck. This transport trailer was also designedto be able to haul more than just this 2-ton truck. The trailer is a bumper pull requiring a 2 5/8" ball, a 26-foot overall long bed by 7 foot wide wood platform deck that beaver tails with diamond plate steel to 9 feet wide behind the tandem axles. The trailer is equipped with electric brakes, 16 inch aluminum wheels all the way around (including spare tire), and is 14,000 lb. gross vehicle weight rated. The truck and trailer pulls effortlessly behind any 3/4 ton pickup truck or heavier chassis rating truck. Winning bidder will have no problem picking up both truck and trailer at seller's residence.
A $1,000 non-refundabledeposit is required within 24 hours of bid close to seller. A PayPal remaining full payment balance or certified bank check is due within 72 hours of bid close, unless other prior arrangements have been agreed upon by seller. Two clear vehicle titles, a bill of sale, and both above mentioned vehicles will only be released to winning bidder after full payment has been furnished to seller. Buyer will be given up to 30 days of free storage to pick up the truck and trailer.
