1953 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210

1953 Chevy Deluxe Sedan
Up for your consideration is my 1953 Chevy. As you can see from the pictures this old girl is oozing with character! All around fun little cruiser that's ready to roll and it never fails to draw a thumbs up wherever I take her.
This car was a daily driver up until this last fall. She runs and drives good and has her original inline 6 cyl engine mated to the automatic Powerglide Transmission. All the body lines are nice and straight and all doors and windows function as they should as well as all lights and signals.
Overall, the car is really, really solid with very little surface rust to speak of. There is no rot or rust through on the car. It's amazingly solid bumper to bumper. The bench seats just have seat covers on them currently but could be recovered. The dash is all there and in great shape as well as the gauges.
All glass and rubber gaskets (windshield, rear window, both doors, and both vent windows) are in great shape. The middle and rear carpet areas are original and the fronts were removed due to wear. The front carpet area is readily available in catalogs and not expensive at all. It currently has a set of rubber floor mats.
The "patina" on this car is really cool. That's what drew me to this car in the first place. I smoothed off any flaking paint with a scotchbrite pad and applied a thin coat of clear to seal in the colors and give it a little sheen. The body is definately solid enough to be worthy of a full restoration and repaint, but I think it'd be a shame to cover up the look it's currently wearing. It previously had some rattle can paint in some areas to blend the patina.
Tires are in great condition with plenty of tread left and the patina on the and hub caps match the car well. It's not a 100 pt show car / trailer clean but it is a fun classic car you can jump in and drive and enjoy without spending a fortune.
Housekeeping:Please ask all questions, have funds in place, and permission (if needed) BEFORE bidding. It takes a lot of time and money to list on ebay and I don't want to waste my, or anyone elses, time. PLEASE do not ask me to cancel your bid because you "entered the wrong amount" .... type your bid in carefully and correctly. (I've had this happen several times and it turns out that folks will throw in a high bid to discover where the reserve is and then ask to cancel once they know. Not cool, and not ethical.) Shipping is the responsibility of the buyer, but I'm willing to help on my end to make sure all goes well with your transport at pick up time. Car is being sold as is with no warranty expressed or implied. I'm not a dealer. I've described the vehicle as straight forwardly as I can. To serious bidders, if you want to see anything that isn't pictured I'm happy to take additional photos of what you'd like to see and email them to yo, just ask. I'm willing to discuss the car on the phone with serious buyers, simply email me your phone number and I will call you. I'll consider ending the aution early if you would like to make an offer that's good for both of us. Good Luck !!
