1956 Chevrolet Corvette

Up for consideration is a 1956 Chevrolet Corvette.Traditional Venetian Red with Ivory coves comes with the correct 265 HP engine and three-speed manual transmission.Serial number E56S002700 with an approximate production date of May 30, 1956. Exact Mileage is unknown. I have owned and enjoyed this car for 16 years but it’s time to pass it along.This car is very correct with numbers matching except for the distributor which I have and will be included.It does have an oil filter adapter so newer technology oil filters can be used.The battery is not a Delco Tar-Top and the wind shield wiper motor has not been restored but is correct and I do have the correct washer fluid bag (not installed). It has the correct one-year only 1956 hard top and a black convertible soft-top. The car has factory power windows, and the correct instrument panel.The wonder bar radio is in the car but the accompanying power pack is in a box and has not been tested.For me, the joy and fun of owning this car was driving it.Always a head turner, you will be proud to pop the hood and show this car at the local cruise in.The heads have been restored and the dual four-barrel carbs were restored in the fall of 2016 by Chuck Smith.A new gas tank was installed when the carbs were and only non-ethanol fuel has been used since.The wheel rims are NOS and have been powder coated the corresponding Venetian Red.The tires are Coker Classic radials. The spare tire is a Firestone bias ply. No jack. As you can see from the photos, frame caps have been installed on the rear of both sides and there are several small rust areas.
