409 2x4 4 speed SS tribute

1962 Chevrolet Impala SS tribute car

Taken out of storage in a climate controlled garage for 15 years in Virginia & transported to NY and gone through from front to back.I have owned this car for over 20 years. This is a original 6 cylinder car based on the vin number however this car has been upgraded with mostly period correct 409 SS parts & trim.Recent work is as follows Front disk brake conversion duel tandem master cyl conversion stainless lines and adjustable bias valve rear wheel cylinders hardware shoes complete system flushed out and filled. Rear diff oil was changed and additive added 4:11 gears with posi runs smooth and quiet. Rear upper trailing arm upgrade with urethane bushings and grease fittings.Rear air shocks run about 10 pounds in the pictures shownfront shocks are new oem style. Solid frame and floors that dont look like they were ever replaced. New fuel tank sending unit rubber hose to filler neck and any and all rubber fuel lines. Rear trunk battery mount inside battery kill switch MSD ignition system & distributor. Block casting A2262 engine stamp is not too clear but reads T06235 OorQ B wich I do believe to be a 62 409 block. I believe the block is 010 over with trw forged pistons intake casting #3814881 Isky solid lifter cam 2 freshly rebuilt edelbrock 650 cfm carbs all new tune up parts aluminum hi-flow water pump 1wire 100 amp alternator hooker super comp ceramic coated headers flowmaster mufflers Carbs are set and timing /valves adjusted all fresh fluids throughout60 psi hot oil pressure engine runs all day at 180-185 degrees. I believe the trans to be a Muncie #s are as follows case# 3925660 tag#3915088 stamp# P8E13 & 18S420104 tail housing#3857584 bellhousing# 3899621. Trans shifts smooth through all gears shifter is stock type oem. Be cool radiator with elec fan full guages and the rest visible in the pics....please email any questions you may have. The car in general is in great shape and runs/drives awesome+ sounds great. Body Is maybe a 7 paint is about 16 years old with 2-3 chips no cracking etc.The paint was never sanded and compounded & Im sure it would come to life if it was. Car has a louvered hood witch has to go and some rust in front from water just sitting there. All SS trim weatherstripping lenses bumpers and interior/door panels/carpet are in excellent mostly new condition. Car could use mostly cosmetic TLC but shows really well as it is as an old school muscle car. Again this car hauls ass in typical 409/425 fashon. Tires and wheels were new before it went into storage and car is mostly dusty in the pictures. If you have read this far I know you understand that these cars are in original form are well into the 6 figure mark restored Here is an oppertunity to get into something that you could really enjoy right now for less than a third of the market.
