1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo

You are looking at a 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo that has all of its matching number components. This is a factory "U" code 402 big block and TH400 automatic car. Only about 5% of production in 1972 were 402 cars. I imagine most of those engines ended up in chevelles and Camaros back in the day. Factory big block cars are hard to come by. This one has 33,615 original miles. It was parked in a garage in NC from 1985 until 2014 when Ibought it. Needless to say, it needed lots of attention. All gaskets have been replace to stop the oil leaks that were everywhere. brakes have been gone through, ac system has been refurbished. Front seat has been recovered and rear package tray has been replace. All of the other interior is original and in great shape. Everything works on the car except the factory radio and clock. All lights work and the car drives excellent. It had 27000 miles on it wen I bought it about 2.5 years ago. The first 1000 miles were driven a little at a time, repairing items that needed attention due to inactivity. The last 5000 miles have been trouble free. I would drive this car anywhere. A few months ago, I drove it 300 miles in one dayand it never got warm and got about 18 MPG. Please see pics of build sheet and inspection report proving the mileage. This car is not restored. It was repainted in 1983. The bumpers, etc and not new but match the car. As you can see under the hood, this car is unmolested. Thepaint has some small chips here and there but is overall a very solid car that shows great. The big block and the originality of this car are a real attention grabber. Please call 540-529-5979 with any questions. Car is located in south centralVirginia, in a town called Huddleston.
