1957 Chevrolet Corvette

If you hit the Buy it Now,I will throw in a numbers matching 2x4 (dual quad) set up with intake AND a date correct block with single "E" suffix on the pad.
Up for sale is a 1957 originating out of Southern California, so the chasis is in great condition.
California Black Plate car: license plate included in sale
Great frame, no rust issues that you tend to see with some North East and Midwest cars.
Appears to be an original Polo White with Silver cove car
Red interior.
White soft top.
Steering Wheel is in awesome condition, with no cracks (I believe)
Very late production with VIN: 62XX
Wonderbar radio and speaker
Non-number matching motor
Motor is a 519 block dated July 1960 with a single "C" suffix. Believed to be a solid lifter motor.
Muncie 4 speed transmissionOriginal leaf springs with 1 leaf (total 5 leaf) and Traction Masters added (probably drag raced in California)
Original rear end: 3.70 standard
Original windshield and side glass, however windshield is cracked.Courtesy lightsParking brake alarmNo jack or tools
Missing 1 horn, other horn is damagedWhat you see in the photos is what you are buying, nothing more or less.
Previous owner had it for almost 40 years. Purchased this car from the previous owner about 9 years ago. It had not run in about 18 years. I got it running, however I pulled the gas tank and have not replaced yet. The body appears to never have been off the frame. Want to say I was the first person to take the deck lid and trunk lid off! One of the photos even shows an ink stamped date, July 10 1957, which I found under the hinge on the trunk mount!
This was a presentable running vette, before I stripped paint, trim and removed gas tank. In order to run, it would need gas tank installed. In order to stop, it would need a brake job. This is NOT a project car that is missing a bunch of parts or that has been totally stripped down and taken off the frame. It is a clean California car, that will make a great driver with little work, a high dollar restoration candidate or perhaps a Resto-Mod candidate.
Photos show it now in bare glass, so you can see the condition of the body. Drivers front fender has a repair, rest of fiberglass on the car is pretty good. Photos show both before and after the paint/ strip.
Please ask questions. You are encouraged to come see this car in person to evaluate.
No warranty, Sold As-is.
