1973 Cadillac Eldorado

Up for auction here is my 1973 Cadillac Eldorado convertible (final year for round headlights and no smog restrictions). I purchased this car 2 years ago from the original owners estate where it had been stored for the last few years of his life. Since I have owned it I have done the following.... ALL front urethane fillers (painted to a perfect match). All ignition.... points, plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil and condenser. New Convertible top with glass rear window. Complete new exhaust from manifold to tail pipe. New interior carpet. Items I have purchased but not yet installed... gas neck/licence plate plastic filler, new rear shocks and valve cover gaskets. This 45 y.o. car is in great condition for it's age but naturally not without it's flaws. I rate this car as a very nice parade car/weekend driver, that is to say paint has great shine and looks great. But does have flaws when examined from a foot or two away and wouldn't stand up to a show car judge. If you are looking for a show car you should scroll down to the '73 eldo conv's with a starting price 15k or more. I drove this car weekends for a full summer last year (over 300 miles) with no incident, it drives as expected with plenty of power and soft luxurious seating, I pulled it out last month to prep it for sale and it started and drove fine but had an air leak, the mechanic diagnosed it with warn/ dry gaskets in the carburetor so I had him rebuild it but when he reinstalled it im guessing he mixed up the vacuum lines or did something wrong while rebuilding because now it runs very poorly. I know this is a negative but I refuse to take it back to this tech and have moved on to another project that is consuming my time. That being said about the carburetor issue now I will state the other minor issues with the car...... Dash cap has 2 cracks, all windows work but are sometimes very slow (this is a connection issue, it was like this when I first bought it and I took the window switches out and cleaned all the connections and then they worked fine and fast). The passenger seat back has some wear or weathering. The driver side armrest has cracked and should be replaced.
In summery this is a strait (not a single ding, all panels fit and operate as they should), clean (has estimated 10 y.o. 2 stage paint that shines very nice), original 2 owner central California (dry) Car. Virtually rust free and absolutely no rot. Clear Ca. Title.
As I stated I have another more interesting project that is taking my time as well as my limited space. I no longer have the inside room this car deserves for the coming winter months so hopefully it will find a new happy and deserving home.I am a private seller and have sold a few cars on ebay in the past all being happy with their purchase. I will be as accommodating as possible when it comes to prep for shipping but bidder is responsible for securing shipping. I am open to selling to overseas bidder, but again it is your responsibility to secure shipping. A non refundable $1,000 usd deposit via paypal is due within 24 hours of end of auction and full payment in cash or cashiers check before car can be picked up. Car needs to be picked up or shipping arrangements made within 7 days of end of auction.PLEASE DO NOT BIT ON THIS AUCTION IF YOU CAN'T CONFORM TO THESE TERMS. if you have any questions at all or would like any specific pictures please contact me.
