THIS IS NOT JUST ANY BUICK CONV.

This car is far and away one of the nicest Original Buick Convertibles in existence. Most of these cars made it only to the junk heap, but this car was lovingly cared for all of its life. I purchased this car from the original owner, who had the car for many years. It was kept in impeccable mechanical and cosmetic condition. I have owned the car for the last 11 years.

I can make you a promise: you'll be hard-pressed to pass another 1974 Buick on the road that is in better condition than this Buick. I've enjoyed this LeSabre convertible and have driven it sparingly and have put 2,000 miles on the car in the 11 years that I have owned the car.

This car is a stunning specimen. It is one the prettiest original 45 year old cars that you will ever see. The paint on the car is a beautiful white color. The interior has white seats with a burgandy dash, door panels and carpeting. The interior is in incredible condition. This color combination causes oohs and ahs everywhere it goes. The paint on the car shines beautifully, and the body has never had one speck or rust. It does, however, have very minor dings and scratches that have been touched up. This car has drawn tremendous attention at local shows. It has won numerous awards at local shows.

The interior of the car is very original. The door panels, seats, etc. look like new. The carpeting is also like new. It was always covered with floor mats. Buick mats with the Buick Logo have been covering both the drivers and passenger's compartment. People are always commenting on how unusual and striking the color combination looks. This car has one of the most unusual and beautiful 1970's American dashboards ever made, and it is in excellent condition. The dashpad is absolutely perfect, with no fading, warping or cuts. It just doesn't get any nicer in a car of this vintage.

The car runs superbly. It has the rare 455 cu.in. engine. Most of the Buicks of this vintage had the 350 cu.in. engines, but in 1974 (one year only) they made a submodel LUXUS conv. that had the 455 cu.in. engine. The engine is extremely quiet and purrs as it travels down the road at 70 mph. This is one of the best engines ever made by GM and has most of its life still in front of it. It is a very low mileage car with only 38,800 documented original miles. The car runs beautifully. Also, because of its large trunk, it is very popular with those of you that still try to sneak extra people into the Drive-in theatre.

Please check out all the close-up photos and look particularly down the sides of this car. White can be an unforgiving color. But this is an absolutely straight, no-rust car. It has a beautiful, show condition trunk with nearly perfect carpeting and cardboard. The engine compartment is clean and up to show standards for a local show. This Buick Convertible was maintained so well you can't believe that it is 45 years old. The chrome on the car shines beautifully. The overall bright work on the car is excellent. This car would score well at any local show. It's that nice. The rubber seals on the car are excellent. The convertible top works perfectly and looks like new. This car also has the rare HARD BOOT for covering the convertible top when it is down.

HISTORICAL PERSPECTIVE:
The Buick LeSabre Luxus has a wheel base of 124 inches. There were 3,600 Convertible units produced during the production run (very low amount). The shipping weight was 4,372 pounds and it had an original selling price of $4,700.00.

ABOUT THE SELLER:
In real life I am a retired school principal. I have been collecting cars for over 40 years and collect only original low mileage cars that have been extremely well kept by previous owners. Collecting cars is a personal passion. The thrill of finding a well-preserved 45 year old car is unbeatable. THIS IS THAT KIND OF CAR. The car belongs to me. I am not an agent acting to sell someone else's car. The car is resting wonderfully in my garage. The above description is mine, not a third party's. If you have any questions, please contact me at 786-517-7002.
