For your consideration is a 1954 Austin Healey BN1 Chassis which belonged to my father, long time collector and Austin Healey enthusiast, cquired 30+ years ago. I believe it to be a 1954 and looks to have been originally Red. At one point it was modified to run a V8 which looks like happened many years before my father got the car. At that time he bought this chassis to fix a BN2 which got smashed in the rear. That never happened and this car does have a overall straight and solid rear section. As far as I can tell this particular BN1 has never had any major collisions. The frame is straight and exhibits no signs of repair. It has been modified to run an American motor. Modifications are obvious and please use the pictures to determine condition. I will answer questions best I can.
The frame has been notched to accept an American motors oil pan.
There is a small section cut out of the frame on the drivers side.
The sheetmetal covering the rearend has been removed.
The original motor mounts have been removed.
Condition:
Please see photos. The shrouds are in good shape considering. There are signs of rust but the floors are solid as are the frame rails. The trunk floor is also solid. The fenders, ockers, nd outriggers have some rust. The geometry appears perfectly straight but I can not guarantee it's accuracy. I encourage inspection and I will be happy to answer any and all questions.
NO VIN NUMBER or identifying Chassis Numbers are included in this auction. There is NO TITLE. Overseas buyers please contact me with any questions. It's being sold as a parts car.
