Description:

1966 Chevrolet Corvair

Up for auction is my 1966 Chevrolet Corvair. It is a great running little car that does not appear to have every had any body damage or rust issues.I have never seen a more solid convertible from the 1960’s.Doors open and close smoothly with no sag.A very solid car.

Has the 140hp engine, and is pretty zippy. The prior owner had highway gears installed (not sure the ratio, but he said it was the tallest available) so it cruises right along at highway speeds. The original gears are boxed up and will go with the car.

The prior owner also went through the brake and fuel systems, so the car starts, stops, shifts, turns and runs as it should.

All the gauges work, the turn signals are fiddly, haven’t figured out the heater, no air conditioning, horn relay is clicking but horn just buzzes, wipers and lights work, convertible top is manually operated, clock does not work, radio actually works, no seat belts and the tires have lots of tread.

The paint is 20 footer quality.

The Corvair has yet to drip a single drop of fluid on my garage floor, which is nice for an older car.

Texas title in my name, mileage is just what is on the odometer, no idea if actual or if the engine has been gone through (as prior owner claimed).

Please let me know if you have any questions or need more pictures. Also, please note that I am only accepting cash or a wire transfer for the payment balance. If you are not interested in those terms, please do not bid.

Thanks and happy bidding.
