1949 Willys Jeepster Most of it is there

This 1949 Willys Jeepster is a unique major project vehicle: think rough barn find, a daily driver parked about 30 years ago mid project after changing the motor. The owners had it for over 60 years and made some updates to the exterior (chopped and channeled) and drivetrain (switched to Ford 6 cylinder). The vehicle is perfect for someone who wants a restomod project, or use it for parts, or ???. The odometer on the vehicle is 86,742 miles, it has turned at least once, no idea how many miles are on the motor (it was a low mileage rebuild when put in around 1990 and driven very little). It was/is copper in color. The title is clean.

Vehicle Details

This Jeepster was driven daily to work and back for around 30 years before the last motor replacement. The owner’s father owned a mechanic shop and her husband was a skilled “shade tree mechanic”. So it was kept mechanically reliable and sound. The husband wanted to “tinker” with it, so it was parked in the garage while he worked on it.

Another vehicle was purchased while it was being worked on, grandchildren started coming, and it ended up just left in the enclosed garage the last thirty years.

The roof is currently unaccounted for. The front passenger seat is missing. And the window skirts are likely in another garage and we hope to unite them with the vehicle when found.

A squirrel family also evidently lived in the carburetor for some time.

This was a well used vehicle before it has sat parked for the last 30 years. It is sold AS IS.
