1962 Volvo 1800 chrome

This great condition red Volvo from 1962 is a rare find. When it was originally produced there were very few models made as this was a promotion for the new sports coupe. It has details that are not included in the more mass produced future versions. I purchased the car from my mechanic who had put it on blocks for 10 years and he rebuilt the engine. This is a California car and has not been subjected to any winter weather. I reconstructed the interior according to templates from the original car that were included. I have owned this car for almost 30 years and drove it every day to and from work, garaging it at both ends. I have continued with my mechanic to service the engine, adding a modern carburetor in order to accommodate the lower octane gas nowadays. The car is very driveable, but the engine is not in pristine, original or detailed condition. The exterior is in very good shape, and was re-painted 15 years ago. The car has its original chrome detailing, original tri-color metal Volvo logos and hood logo, the dashboard is mostly original as is the wheel and horn ornament. The wheel covers are also original.

I have really enjoyed this car, but it's time for a new home.
