Recently put in brand new engine, strutts, shocks, fuel system, rewiring, more and more. I have barely used it since it has been home from the shop. Hardly any miles on the new engine, hence the 300. Prior to new engine the odometer shows 28,000. I purchased this 1974 Super Beetle in 2022. Shortly after, I took it for inspection and one issue came up after another. That turned into a complete year of back and forth, resulting in a new engine install, and many more new things.... You are about to buy a basically “brand new” Vintage 1974 classic Volkswagen Super Beetle New engine… almost zero miles on the new engine. Almost mint condition exterior and interior, and new from head to toe mechanically. See listed below of all new parts. No rust!!!! Interior close to new looking. Fantastic, clean, well-maintained style, and a solid feeling on the road. Gorgeous and vivid with accents of black and just absolutely pop. You don’t know me, but I am a very trusted seller. Below is a list of what I know about updates from the previous seller, which has now been mostly all updated since I purchased it. I will list all fixes/improvements I have made, or are aware of from previous owner, which I am happy to discuss, provide all documentation, including the name of the mechanical shop. Below is the list: Exterior The body and paint are in great condition. Some minor (as expected) normal usage paint imperfections. Some chrome seems to have been previously painted over in black, and some of the black is chipping/peeling. New black side molding. No rust. Newer Parts Include: Deck Lid Rain Deflector Side Molding Clips Rear Window Vents Rubber Kit Headlight Rim Outer Door window Scrapers Fantastic Newer Tires NOTE: I drove this once after I got all of the mechanical work complete and was rear-ended. Can’t make it up. Fortunately, do to the solid car, there was barely any damage. The engine lid has been replaced and painted. The deck lid deflector has also been fixed and painted. Looks great. Interior Black over-all and Black and Grey/Tan stripes on seats (mint condition). Dash mint. Some knobs missing. Newer Parts Include: Door Quarter Window Scraper Inner Door window Scrapers Seat Track Shelf Carpet Seals and Bumper Brackets Pedal Pad Set Lock Nobs Door Panel Kits Swan Neck Rearview Mirror Seat Belt Extenders added to both front seats Seat cushions are in great shape as well. Upholstery of the seats is new, as well as the door covers, the carpets. Dash is in great shape. Some knobs are missing. Added seat belt extenders, ordered from JBugs. Pioneer stereo system with front and back speakers. Back speakers added are sunk in ledge behind the back seat. Mechanical: At the mechanical level everything has been restored and therefore everything works great. The four-speed manual transmission with a great feel, riding on good tires. Updates/Fixes 2022-2023 --- NEW Engine – 1600 HPW – note, previous engine was oversized and maxed out. Had carburetor issues and was not able to be rebuilt, so the engine was replaced. It has only been driven about 30 miles on the new engine. Shifter plate re-adjusted to tighten Shift Coupler Inserts Replace Shifter Plate and Bushings New bushing in steering wheel and upper steering shaft Replaced Front Suspension Center Tie Rod Assembly Replaced Front Steering components and Idler Arm Bushing, Center Link, Tie Rod Ends Strut Top Bearing Assemblies Pair of Front Springs Plugs/Wires Breaks and Break Lines Break Light Switches Steering Damper Lights Headlight Wire to body Front Turn Signal Assembly
