1955 Chevy Belair LS Swap
1955 Chevrolet Bel Air/150/210 Bel Air
Up for sale is a beautiful 1955 Chevy Bel Air LS swap. Car is in extremely good condition. Built 3-4 years ago. No leaks and no strange noises. No rust, no bubbles anywhere. See pic of door hem. Frame is fully boxed and detailed, floor pan and trunk pan have been replaced and painted and look new. They did a quality job. Paint job is not show or concours condition, but it is in great driver condition. For engine specifics please see last pic. The basics are as follows: Engine is a 5.3 from a 2004 Silverado with about 60k miles on it. Trans is a Turbo 400 and rear is a Ford 9 inch (both rebuilt at time of build as per previous owner). Car is mini tubbed, that doesn't affect the backseat and trunk has been nicely finished. Art Morrison ladder bar setup in the rear and Viking Coil overs in the front. I've had the car since December and put a couple of hundred miles (500-600) on it. I recently drove it back and forth to the Carlisle Auto Show and Swap meet, which is 2 hours each way, and no issues. Car runs at 180 degrees all day long. Work I've done include new battery, alternator, serpentine belt, plugs, gas filter, Holley lower profile oil pan, rear shocks, front upper and lower ball joints, new shifter, torque converter dust shield and resealed the Ford 9 inch. Rear tires are new, fronts are like new. There is NO A/C or heat. There is a heater core in the car, but it's been by-passed. I have no idea of its condition as it's a fair-weather car for me. All lights and directionals work. Wipers work. Modern stereo in glove box. Speedo recently redone and works well. Gas gauge reads 1/2 when car is full and bounces around below that till the car is on empty when it's empty.Fans and fuel pump operate by toggle switches. You must flip these switches then turn the key like normal to start car. Dash temp gauge is not working but aftermarket tach, temp gauge and oil pressure gauge work fine. Car starts easily every time but runs a little rough till warmed up. After it runs for a few minutes, it smooths right out. I cannot stress how clean this car is and I don't think you'll find a cleaner one for the money. Car comes with a clean PA title and a 3 ring binder of paperwork.
** I've attached a video, for whatever ever reason it sometimes pauses before finished. Just wait a couple seconds and it will continue playing. Make sure you see the whole video. **
