This Thing is super fun. Starts right up / idles smooth / runs great / shifts great / brakes great. Its 50 years old and its in excellent solid condition. All the steel Kubelwagen WW2 modifications have been done to a very high standard. Selling below build cost. It would be hard to find a better one at any price. This Thing is the set up for you to enjoy...with the wind in your hair all year long. The reliable strong running 4 cylinder 1600cc bulletproof air cooled VW power-plant purrs like a kitten and is mated to 4 speed manual transmission. Clutch is good. The traction advantage of the engine being over the rear driving wheels makes it a very nimble and able vehicle, and it's very fun to drive. It can go places others can't. This Thing brakes well and handles great. The exterior is custom painted a Desert Tan with a sand grip finish. The comfortable front bucket seats are black and the rear black seats fold down for more storage. This is a very unique and versatile vehicle. Why buy a $65,000.00+ Jeep (that you see everywhere and are very common) when you can have this cool collectible classic. Jump in and cruise this VW Thing down the road and you will see why this is the perfect vehicle for a running errands, going to the beach, camping or anything outdoors. Super fun and affordable to own and operate. Volkswagen only sold these in the USA for two years ('73 & '74) so it is very collectable. I'm Losing my storage area so it must go. Minor issues worth noting: reverse lights not working, heater controls not hooked up. It had the common rust in some of the floors but was metal repaired and metal welded.
