1967 Volkswagen 1500 ragtop sunroof

Vehicle Details

1967 Volkswagen beetle, aftermarket sliding ragtop, newer Daniel Watts engine, heated seats, Bluetooth stereo with cell phone capability, manual transmission right out of the 60's.

Nearly all stock with a few minor exceptions.

All the special bits for the one year only 1967 are present but I did my best to turn it into a 63 for personal reasons as they were much more colorful and fun.

Many rare accessories for the full price buyer such as tool kit, work light, swamp cooler, tire pressure gauge and spare bulb holder.

Runs excellent, motor appears to be stock 1500 as a 67 would have but is actually a 1641 with 1/25 rocker arms, a two quart oil sump and when installed an NOS doghouse cooler set up.

Motor has approx 7,000 miles since installed in 2017. The motor was powder coated and heater boxes were ceramic coated as well.

The car sat in a field in the Texas sun for 28 years before I received and began my journey with him, I have had him (David) now for 14 years.

I used a fiberglass repair panel and lots of por15 to restore the pan and redid the complete interior.

The sunroof is made of Sunbrella and is watertight when closed.

Two very close friends did the pinstripes ans door art and its all paint too.

The tires are newer coker Whitehall radials, I redid all the ball joints and bushings in the front beam, all new brakes, shocks, etc so it would be a great driver.

The hood, deck lid, and fenders are painted with rustoleum gray paint. The body is the white paint that is had while it baked in the Texas sun.

I have genuinely loved this 55 year old car as I poured myself into it over the past 14 years.

The heater and heated seats keep everyone toasty on cool nights.

The steering wheel, large road light, bud vase, and chevron mudflaps came from a great vendor in London that sells really hard to find vintage vw accessories and parts.

The bumpers are original to the car and if you look behind them you will see the the inside back has been painted to keep them tidy and detailed.
