Description:

1973 Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon

What can I say, I have owned this beauty since 1994 but its time to let her go to help put my kid through college. I bought it from a friend who overheated the engine on the way back from the beach. I worked on it in my spare time while at aircraft mechanic school and got it back on the road in '97. it was my primary vehicle during my years at the university. I did a lot of customizations including engine gauges, an aux oil cooler, fog lamps, gas stove, I had it 2 toned painted in1999. It has been garage kept as much as possible. It has a lot of original components including canvas tent top, seat and door coverings and stool. It got rear-ended (passenger side tail light area) when I was living out of it in 2002, I have the metal parts (rear qtr panel and battery tray) to fix that but never got around to it. The last work I did was in 2016, I put brand new cylinder heads and she runs great for it. The progressive carb secondary throttle valve sticks open so I recommend replace/overhaul the carburetor if it is to be driven a lot. One key operates all the doors and ignition. Vehicle is currently in my garage in Charles Town, WV. Let me know if you have any questions or would like to see in person. check out the video shows the engine compartment and all sides.
