1965 Volkswagen Beetle **NO RESERVE** a true daily driver
1965 Volkswagen Beetle - Classic
A true daily driver! I do 96 miles a day round trip to work (before covid), rain or shine some weeks. Engine runs cool in the summer, and the functioning sunroof and pop out rear windows will keep YOU cool too! This Bug cranks right up in winter and the cabin heater will get you toasty in about 5 mins of driving! Apparently, the original owner lost the original title in California and thought it easier to replace it with a 1965 title instead (chassis matches the title). But you can easily see this is a 66 through and through, down to the single-year ‘1300’ script. The engine was built with torque in mind for entering aggressive Houston freeways at speed and passing huge semi-trucks with ease. It cruises at 74 GPS mphs around 3800 rpm.The cam is good for about 5300 rpm so this bug can easily hit the 90’s and keep pulling. But I’ve only pushed the engine to about 4200 to pass on the freeway. Don’t want to abuse it, it’s still a pretty fresh motor…
Check out the pictures and contact me. I had fun building this but need a family car.
