1968 Volkswagen Bug/Beetle. Very nice #2 quality car. The Odometer shows 85785 miles. We don't know if it is original miles, but it could be. Current owner has owned the car since 2006. Driving it home from purchase the engine broke. They had a new 1776cc engine built and installed and have put around 1000 miles since. The car has been stored since.I have cleaned and detailed and prepped the car for sale.Mechanically, Brakes are new, 4 new KYB GR-2 shocks, newfan belt, spark plugs, new air filter, new fuel line and filter, new Bosch 009 electronic distributor and new pic 30 carburetor. It tuned and runs beautiful. It has an EMPI close ratio shifter.Electrical, the car has the original wiring with a few replaced and soldered connectors. Everything is connected correctly and is in perfect working order. Stereo is professionally installed. Everything works even the windshield washers. The turn signal canceler does not work, turn signals work fine.Rust, the only rust in the car was the little bit in the battery tray (SEE PICTURE) I replaced it with a new EMPI piece. The car has no signs of ever being in an accident. The front and rear aprons have never been crushed or pushed back.Exterior, detailed and polished the paint. The black out chrome was all bead blasted and SEM trim blacked (39143), new bumpers, new one-piece window rubbers, new moldings, lots of new rubber seals, new wipers, new horn. The car was original white and was changed to slate gray metallic very nicely, It has chrome less window rubber and the Cal Style one-piece windows installed. The paint is in excellent condition. This car presents itself very well and will do well at weekly car shows.Interior, the seats have been recovered with a VW interior kit and carpets when it was painted. everything works. The heater and fresh air system are complete and work. Pioneer stereo and JVS speakers.This car runs and drives exceptionally well, It is fun to drive and absolutely can be daily driven.My former EBAY account is oldcarjimmccoy it is inactive now, so I had to create a new one. you can still see my old one.
